JAXA/NASA Suzaku (Astro-E2) Satellite

Suzaku, previously known as Astro-E2, is a Japanese space mission launched by the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) in collaboration with NASA. This X-ray observatory was designed to study high-energy X-rays from celestial sources, providing critical insights into the universe's most extreme and energetic phenomena.

Launched in 2005, Suzaku was equipped with cutting-edge X-ray telescopes and detectors capable of observing X-rays across a wide range of energies. This instrumentation enabled scientists to study a variety of celestial objects, including black holes, neutron stars, and supernova remnants.

Suzaku's primary scientific objectives included investigating the physical processes and properties of X-ray-emitting sources, as well as the evolution of galaxies and galaxy clusters. The mission aimed to address fundamental questions about the structure and behavior of matter in extreme conditions.
